Online Marketing

What really works?

Site design

Do you have in-house design and integration resources?
Infomercial.TV employs talented designers and programmers to ensure you get the best possible website for your campaign.

What digital elements are required from me? Back to Top
All digital elements can be developed by Infomercial.TV in-house. Most advertisers supply many of the same elements that were used in product development—PSD product shots, stills from the show and infomercial transcripts are the most common. Telemarketing scripts are useful too.

Can you use my existing creative and copy? Back to Top
Most definitely—in fact that is our preferred route.

Can you brand my site to match my show and product? Back to Top
Your website will be an extension of your products image in the market. The look and feel of the site will closely mirror that of the infomercial and of the product itself.

Can you do site development without hosting? Back to Top
We certainly can—we would appreciate the opportunity to bid on your web design.

I already have a website—I just need the e-commerce piece. Back to Top
Infomercial.TV can host your shopping cart and can transmit your transactions to the fulfillment company of your choosing.

What information does Infomercial.TV need to host my shopping cart? Back to Top
We provide an easy-to-use Technology Integration document to help you gather the information required, which largely consists of:
  • The offer (i.e. all product/upsell names, codes and prices)
  • Shipping options (i.e. S&H schedule and ship methods offered).
  • Payment options (single pay or multi-pay) and payment types accepted.
  • The states which are taxable, and associated tax rates.
  • Order exchange, sending orders taken on the website to you and/or your fulfillment company (we have multiple methods available).

Where will the site be hosted? Back to Top
Your site will be hosted on our secure, high performance servers in Orange County, CA or in San Antonio, TX. Servers are under 24/7 monitoring.

Is your e-commerce system secure? Back to Top
Our e-commerce system is protected using SSL technology from VeriSign—the leader in the industry. Sensitive customer data is always encrypted on our servers, which are frequently backed up. No outsider has access to your data. Infomercial.TV will never share, sell or trade your data to any third party for any reason.

Do you offer different hosting contracts? Back to Top
We offer a multitude of hosting contracts tailored to your needs—we recommend you begin with the minimum required and grow your usage as your campaign develops. There is no charge for modifying your hosting agreement with us.

Can you work with my fulfillment company? Back to Top
Infomercial.TV has relationships established with most leading fulfillment companies in the DRTV marketplace. We have developed and tested our data exchange and reporting mechanisms with the leaders in the industry. If you are working with a newcomer, we would be delighted to include them in our list of "vendor-partners".

Can you do credit card pre-authorization and/or authorization in real time? Back to Top
Yes—we offer this service if required.

Can I get website usage reports and online sales reports? Back to Top
All of our clients have access to their own comprehensive suite of secure, real-time reporting tools. We can format your data in whichever way you prefer.

What happens to my data—how is it stored and used? Back to Top
Your site usage and customer data is stored encrypted on our servers and remains the sole property of the client. Infomercial.TV adheres strictly to our privacy policy and will not sell, trade or share your data with any third party organization.

Can I change product offer or price points? Back to Top
You can make modifications to your site whenever required.

Can I modify other elements of my site? Back to Top
Yes—your site should always be reflective of your current offer.

Can I use third party online marketing companies? Back to Top
Yes—many of our clients work with outside online marketing partners of their own.

I may want to add bells and whistles—can I? Back to Top
You name it, we'll support it.

What platform do you run? Back to Top
Infomercial.TV runs Dell Power Edge servers running MS-Windows and MS-SQL Server

Affiliate Sales

What creative elements are required? Back to Top
We prefer to have access to the same creative elements which are currently on your website.

Should I implement an in-house affiliate system or go with an established service? Back to Top
An in-house system is preferred if you have dedicated IT resources and can attract an high quality affiliate pool. You will have to maintain records for affiliate, and pay them individually. If you do not have such resources, sign up with one of the existing services.

Reporting—clicks and sales—what do affiliates want? Back to Top
Affiliates want to know, for any given time period and for any given 'creative element', the number of clicks recorded, and details of the resulting transaction(s).

Invoicing—how to pay multiple affiliates Back to Top
If you run an in-house system, you'll need to communicate with each individual affiliate and process payment for each according to your program terms. If you use an affiliate management service, you wire a single amount each month .

Is it fair and transparent? Back to Top
Affiliate management systems track and carefully record every click for the benefit of affiliates and merchants alike. If you run an in-house system, you should be fastidious in granting your valued affiliates full access to your database.

Advantages of the affiliate model Back to Top
The merchant (you) exclusively retain all customer details for every transaction. Changes to your offer do not result in erroneous transactions by your affiliate base, since all transactions happen on your own site. The affiliate model scales very well. Easier to implement if you have a complex product mix and/or offer.

PI Sales

Do you have a standard PI agreement?  Back to Top
Infomercial.TV has a standard PI contract which was designed to give you (the advertiser) the highest possible level of protection and flexibility. If you would like to see our standard agreement, please ask.

Who processes the credit card?  Back to Top
Infomercial.TV captures the customer details and passes them along to you without any processing. The customer is YOUR customer - you process the order normally, in exactly the same way as if it had originated via your own website, or via telephone.

Does Infomercial.TV run a MLM-network?  Back to Top
Infomercial.TV owns and operates all of our websites and web malls. We do not run a network of any sort.

Does Infomercial.TV run aggressive online marketing such as pop-ups or SPAM?  Back to Top
Infomercial.TV does not engage in any aggressive or unethical marketing practices.

Does Infomercial.TV upsell subscriptions or any other items?  Back to Top
No, when we represent your product, the offer on our site mirrors the offer on yours exactly. We do not market additional items to buyers of your product.

Can this model lead to pricing conflicts?  Back to Top
No. Since the order is processed by you in exactly the same way as your other orders are processed, there is no chance that it may be discounted or otherwise different.

Will this model dilute my own online branding efforts?  Back to Top
No. Think of PI sales as another advertising medium. In the same way as you may buy airtime on multiple stations, having your product offered on highly trafficked partner websites will lead to an increase of online orders.

Will this cannibalize my own web sales?  Back to Top
We have data proving that the PI model leads to incremental orders—an order stream that the advertiser may never have gotten elsewhere.

What are the benefits of the PI model?  Back to Top
Your product is put in front of many more 'eyeballs' online. Orders are batched in the same way as telemarketing orders—the entire process is automatic and safe. Reporting and performance tracking are easily done by both Infomercial.TV and by you, the advertiser. If you have a relatively simple product mix, the PI model is an excellent performer.
